The Lord’s Table
The Lord’s Supper is a memorial service to bring to remembrance the great payment Christ made on the cross, to bring unity to the church body, and to reinforce the importance of the body of Christ. Communion is a closed service to members in good standing only, the elements of which are symbols of the broken body and shed blood of Christ. The only acceptable elements are unleavened bread and unfermented grape juice. Proverbs 20:1; 23:29-35; 2 Corinthians 11:24-30; Matthew 26:26-29, Acts 13:2-3.
