e. Limited Atonement
This point of Calvin’s philosophy says that Christs Atonement was only for the Elect. Neither the phrase, nor the precept, are found in scripture. To the contrary we find an abundance of direct evidence that the grace of God hath appeared unto all men. We see it in direct evidence and in types (even Nabal was present with grace and given an opportunity to repent). Luke 16:16, I John 2:2, Hebrews 2:9, John 3:16 are just a few examples that refute this philosophy. However, if I were an attorney trying to build a case, this point is necessary in my argument.
